Frequently Asked Questions

What rubber accelerators does SUNCHEM supply?+

SUNCHEM supplies selected thiazole, sulfenamide, thiuram, dithiocarbamate and guanidine accelerators, including products such as MBT, MBTS, CBS, TBBS, TMTD and DPG. The correct accelerator or blend depends on elastomer type, cure rate, scorch safety, processing conditions and regulatory requirements.

What is the difference between MBT and MBTS?+

MBT (2-Mercaptobenzothiazole, CAS 149-30-4) is a primary accelerator with fast cure speed but limited scorch safety. MBTS (Dibenzothiazole Disulfide, CAS 120-78-5) is the disulfide form with improved scorch safety and better storage stability, commonly used in NR and SBR compounds as a primary or secondary accelerator.

What is CBS used for in rubber compounding?+

CBS (N-Cyclohexyl-2-Benzothiazole-Sulfenamide, CAS 95-33-0) is a delayed-action sulfenamide accelerator widely used in NR, SBR, and BR tire compounds. It provides excellent scorch safety with fast vulcanization and produces a flat cure plateau, making it the preferred accelerator for modern tire manufacturing.

What antidegradants do you offer for rubber?+

We supply TMQ (Polymerized 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline, CAS 26780-96-1) as a heat and aging antioxidant for NR and SBR, and SUNNOX®1135 (CAS 125643-61-0) as a high-performance antidegradant providing combined antioxidant and antiozonant protection for rubber articles used in dynamic outdoor environments.

Can you provide COA, SDS, and TDS documents?+

Yes — all products have full technical documentation available including Certificate of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS), and Technical Data Sheet (TDS). Documents are provided in English. Please email info@sunchemgroup.com with your product name and required document format.

What packaging and order sizes are available?+

Rubber accelerators are available in 25kg bags, 500kg big bags, and drums depending on the product form (powder, granule, or liquid). Sample quantities from 500g are available for trials. We provide full export documentation including fumigation certificates, packing lists, and B/L instructions for sea and air freight.
