Ethyl heptanoate is the ethyl ester of heptanoic (enanthic) кислота. Its wine-like, grape and cognac character makes it useful in wine, brandy and liquor flavors, grape and berry flavors, and tobacco flavors. It is also used in floral fragrances and as an organic synthesis intermediate.
