Full C₆D₅ transfer
Introduces a fully deuterated phenyl ring in one Suzuki step.
Phenyl-d5-boronic acid is a deuterated phenylboronic acid used to introduce a fully deuterated phenyl ring by Suzuki coupling — for deuterated drug candidates, isotope-labeled standards and deuterated OLED materials. SUNCHEM supplies phenyl-d5-boronic acid with a batch COA on every shipment.
In phenyl-d5-boronic acid all five ring hydrogens are replaced by deuterium. Coupling it in a Suzuki reaction transfers a C₆D₅ group, which is used to make deuterated drug candidates (where C–D bonds can slow metabolism), isotope-labeled internal standards for mass spectrometry, and deuterated host and emitter materials that extend OLED lifetime.
For deuterated products, isotopic enrichment (atom % D) matters as much as chemical purity. Note that the formula on the current page (C₆H₇BO₂) is the non-deuterated compound; the deuterated formula is C₆H₂D₅BO₂.

We quote against your chemical purity and isotopic enrichment and send the batch COA for each lot.

| Your requirement | What usually works |
|---|---|
| Deuterated drug candidates | Specify atom % D and chemical purity |
| OLED materials | Specify enrichment, purity and metal limits |
| Analytical standards | Small packs with enrichment data |
| Replacing an existing supplier | Send your current TDS or COA; we quote against the parameters you approve |
25 kg drums; smaller packs for evaluation on request.
Keep containers closed in a cool, dry place; avoid moisture, which can exchange with and degrade the material.
Drug candidate, standard or OLED: enrichment and purity limits follow from it.
Chemical purity, isotopic enrichment (atom % D, by NMR or MS), anhydride and moisture.
Agree how atom % D is measured before you compare offers.
Run a sample in your own process and keep the approved lot COA as the reference for contract limits.
Tell us the product you are making and the enrichment you need, the quantity and the destination port. Add your current specification and we will quote against it.
