M-AMINOPHENOL is also known as (2,4,5) and (methylaminophenol). It is an aniline derivative, substituted by an acyl group at position two and a hydroxylamine substituent at position 5.

It is also a derivative of phenol, differing from it by a hydroxyl group at the meta position.

M-AMINOPHENOL is A solid white powder with a strong smell of ammonia that is soluble in water. It has an alkaline character, moderate toxicity, weak acidity.

It is produced by phthalic anhydride and formaldehyde condensation reaction. It is mainly used for dyeing agents, preservative agents, antioxidant agents in various fields of the chemicals industry.


M-aminophenol is a derivative of aniline, which is used for the production of 1-naphthol. 1-naphthol is used as an intermediate to manufacture pigments, dyes, and other intermediates.

It is also used as a raw material for producing other chemicals such as aniline black, aniline oil, and aniline blue. It is used in the manufacture of indigo dye.
