Very low volatility
Stays in thin sections through processing and service.
SUNLIGHT® 119 is a high-molecular-weight hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS 119). It gives long outdoor life with very low volatility and extraction in thin PP and PE articles such as tape, fiber and film.
HALS 119 has a molecular weight of about 2286, so it does not evaporate during processing or migrate out in use. It is used in PP tape, fiber and film and in other polyolefin articles that need long outdoor life, and it also contributes long-term thermal stability.
Stays in thin sections through processing and service.
For PP tape, fiber and film exposed outdoors.
Adds long-term heat stability in polyolefins.

Typically 0.1–0.5% in outdoor tape and fiber.
Long-life UV protection for film.
Used in thin-walled outdoor parts.
| Your requirement | What usually works |
|---|---|
| Thick PP and PE parts | Low-MW HALS (770) for fast migration to the surface |
| Thin films, tapes and fibers | Polymeric HALS (944, 622) for low volatility and extraction resistance |
| Agricultural film exposed to pesticides | Polymeric HALS with good resistance to acidic residues; ask about the specific chemicals |
| Automotive and industrial coatings | Liquid HALS (292) with a UV absorber |
| Acid-catalyzed coatings | Non-basic NOR-type HALS (123) |
| Long outdoor life | HALS plus UV absorber, often a blend of a low-MW and a polymeric HALS |
| Replacing an existing grade | Send your current TDS or COA; we match on the parameters you approve |

*Starting points for trials, not fixed recommendations. The right level depends on part thickness, pigments, fillers, agrochemical exposure and target service life. Combining a HALS with a UV absorber is usual for outdoor use.
25 kg net bags or cartons with a PE inner liner. Palletized; private-label packing on request.
Keep sealed in a cool, dry, ventilated place away from heat and direct sun. See the SDS for full handling details.
Typically 3–15 business days from order confirmation, depending on quantity. FOB, CIF or DAP to major ports.
Note the climate, the expected service life and your weathering test (xenon or QUV hours, retained elongation, gloss or ΔE). For agricultural film, list the pesticides and fumigants the film will meet.
Low-MW HALS move to the surface quickly and suit thick parts; polymeric HALS resist loss from thin films and fibers. Many outdoor packages blend both.
HALS are basic and can interact with acidic additives, halogenated flame retardants, some pigments and sulfur-containing antioxidants. Send your full formulation so we can flag conflicts before the trial.
Agree physical form (powder or granule), packaging, monthly volume and documents up front. A matching CAS number alone does not qualify a new source; run your weathering test and keep the approved lot COA as the reference.
Start with your material, part thickness, quantity and destination. Add your current stabilizer package and we will quote against it.

No, it is a hindered amine light stabilizer. It also adds long-term thermal stability, but its main job is UV protection.
Both are high-MW HALS for thin sections. 119 is often chosen for the most demanding tape and fiber applications. Send your current grade for a match.
0.1–0.5% depending on gauge and target life.
Yes. Tell us the polymer, the test you plan to run and the quantity you need. Samples ship with a COA so you can compare the lot against your current material.
Send us the agreed specification and the COA showing the difference (parameter, unit and test method). We check it with the production batch record before you accept the material, and replace or re-test where the lot is out of specification.
