High-Tg epoxy cure
Gives cured epoxies a high glass-transition temperature and stiffness for composites and laminates.
4,4'-Diaminodiphenyl sulfone (4,4'-DDS) is an aromatic amine used as a curing agent for high-temperature epoxy resins, in the synthesis of polysulfone amide resin and other polymers, and as an intermediate for acid azo and disperse dyes. SUNCHEM supplies DDS in 25 kg drums with a batch COA on every shipment.
4,4'-DDS is an aromatic diamine with a sulfone bridge. Cured with epoxy resins it gives high glass-transition temperature and stiffness, so it is a standard hardener in composite prepregs, adhesives and electrical laminates. It is also a monomer for polysulfone amide (PSA) fiber and other heat-resistant polymers, and an intermediate for acid azo and disperse dyes.
The same molecule is the API dapsone. This page covers industrial grade; pharmaceutical grade is made under GMP and is quoted separately.

We quote against your purity, melting point and particle size and send the batch COA for each lot.

| Your requirement | What usually works |
|---|---|
| Epoxy prepregs and adhesives | Specify purity and particle size (micronized if needed) |
| Polymer synthesis | Specify purity and color |
| Dye intermediates | Standard industrial grade |
| Pharmaceutical use (dapsone) | Not this grade — ask for a GMP source |
25 kg drums.
Keep drums closed in a cool, dry store away from light and oxidizers.
Epoxy curing, polymer or dye: purity and particle size follow from it.
Purity, melting point, particle size, moisture and ash.
For epoxy, particle size decides how evenly DDS disperses; test in your resin.
Run a sample in your own process and keep the approved lot COA as the reference for contract limits.
Tell us your resin system or product, the quantity and the destination port. Add your current specification and we will quote against it.
