Fragrance and synthesis raw material
A sweet, floral odor for fragrances and a reactive ketone for pharmaceutical and fine-chemical synthesis.
Acetophenone is an aromatic ketone used as a raw material for fragrances and pharmaceuticals, as a solvent and plasticizer, and in resin production. SUNCHEM supplies acetophenone at 99% min. in 200 kg drums, about 16 tonnes per container, with a batch COA on every shipment.
Acetophenone (methyl phenyl ketone) is the simplest aromatic ketone. It has a sweet, orange-blossom and almond-like odor, so it is used in fragrances for soap, detergents and cosmetics, and as a starting material for fragrance chemicals. It is an intermediate for pharmaceuticals and other fine chemicals, a solvent for cellulose ethers and resins, a plasticizer, and a raw material for acetophenone–formaldehyde resins.
It melts at about 20 °C, so in cool weather it may solidify in the drum — warm gently before use.

Dissolves cellulose ethers and resins, and is used as a plasticizer.
We quote against your assay, water and color limits and send the batch COA for each lot.

200 kg drums; about 16,000 kg per 20-ft container.
Keep drums closed in a cool, ventilated store. Acetophenone may solidify below about 20 °C; warm gently to melt before use.
Fragrance, synthesis or solvent: odor, color and impurity limits follow from it.
Assay, water, color and freezing point.
Drums may arrive solid in winter; plan a warm room or drum heater.
Run a sample in your own process and keep the approved lot COA as the reference for contract limits.

As a raw material for fragrances and pharmaceuticals, as a solvent and plasticizer, and in acetophenone–formaldehyde resins.
Assay 99% min., in 200 kg drums, about 16,000 kg per FCL.
It melts at about 20 °C, so it can solidify in cool weather. Warm the drum gently and it returns to liquid without affecting quality.
Check the SDS for the transport classification; we send it with the quotation.
