Strength and toughness
Polyamides combine stiffness, impact strength and wear resistance for load-bearing parts.
PA6 (polyamide 6) is an engineering plastic for automotive parts, tool parts, electrical and electronic components and general manufacturing. SUNCHEM supplies PA6 injection grades with 15% and 30% glass fiber in natural color, with a batch COA on every shipment.
PA6 (polyamide 6, nylon 6) is a tough, wear-resistant engineering plastic. Glass-fiber reinforcement raises its stiffness and heat resistance, so reinforced PA6 replaces metal in many automotive, tool and electrical parts.
The grades on this page are injection grades in natural color: PA6-15 with 15% glass fiber and PA6-30 with 30% glass fiber. Other grades and colors are quoted on request.

Glass-fiber reinforcement raises stiffness and heat resistance for structural parts.
We quote against your mechanical and processing requirements and send the batch COA for each lot.
| Parameter | Typical value |
|---|---|
| Product name | PA6 |
| Material | Polyamide |
| Grades | PA6-15 (15% GF), PA6-30 (30% GF) |
| Melting point (typical for the polymer) | about 220 °C |
| Process | Injection molding |
| Form | Pellets |
Tensile strength, flexural modulus, impact strength, heat deflection temperature, moisture and flame rating depend on the grade and are stated on the TDS and batch COA; the values for your order are confirmed in the quotation and contract.
Where PA6 is used, and what to confirm before you switch supply.
Used for brackets, covers, fan shrouds and other parts that need stiffness and toughness.
Used for power-tool housings and tool components that need impact strength.
Used for connectors, housings and switch parts.
| Your requirement | What usually works |
|---|---|
| Housings and general parts | Unreinforced or lower glass-fiber grade |
| Structural and under-hood parts | Glass-fiber reinforced grade (e.g. 30% GF) |
| Electrical parts needing a flame rating | Ask for a flame-retardant grade and its UL data |
| Replacing an existing supplier | Send your current TDS or COA; we quote against the parameters you approve |
Tell us the bag size and pallet requirements you need; we confirm the packaging with the quotation.
Keep bags sealed. Polyamides absorb moisture — dry the pellets to the moisture level on the TDS before molding.
The part, the load and the temperature it sees: the grade follows from that.
Tensile and flexural properties, impact strength, heat deflection temperature, glass-fiber content and moisture.
Check moisture on arrival and dry to the TDS level; wet pellets cause splay and brittle parts.
Mold trial parts, test them, and keep the approved lot COA as the reference.
Tell us the part you mold and the grade you use now, the quantity and the destination port. Add your current specification and we will quote against it.
| Information | Example |
|---|---|
| Application | Automotive, electrical, tools, industrial parts |
| Required specification | Glass-fiber %, color, flame rating |
| Packaging | Bag size; pallets |
| Quantity | Sample / trial order / annual volume |
| Destination | Country and port |
| Documents needed | COA, SDS, TDS, RoHS/REACH |
