Low volatility
Good retention in film and fiber processing.
SUNSORB® 327 (UV-327) is a low-volatility chlorinated benzotriazole UV absorber used in polyolefin film, fiber and other plastics. UV-327 is listed as a Substance of Very High Concern under EU REACH, so check your market before ordering.

UV-327 (2,4-di-tert-butyl-6-(5-chloro-2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)phénol) has low volatility and good compatibility in polyolefins. Because of its REACH status, many EU buyers have moved to alternatives such as UV-326, 329 ou 234. Outside the EU it remains in use; we confirm the rules for your destination before quoting.
Typical specification. Every shipment is supplied with a batch COA; the limits that apply to your order are confirmed in the quotation and contract.
Good retention in film and fiber processing.
Used in PP and PE film and fiber.
If 327 is restricted in your market we can propose and supply a replacement.
Typical specification. Every shipment is supplied with a batch COA; the limits that apply to your order are confirmed in the quotation and contract.

Low-volatility UV absorber for thin sections.
UV protection in molded polyolefins.
For EU and other restricted markets, 326, 329 ou 234 are common replacements depending on polymer and process.
25 kg net bags or cartons with a PE inner liner. Palletized; private-label packing on request.
Keep sealed in a cool, sec, ventilated place away from heat and direct sun. See the SDS for full handling details.
Typically 3–15 business days from order confirmation, depending on quantity. GOUSSET, CIF or DAP to major ports.
Indoor light behind glass, outdoor temperate climate and desert or tropical exposure need very different packages. Note the target service life and the weathering test you use (xenon or QUV, heures, ΔE or gloss retention).
A UV absorber works by filtering, so it needs enough path length: thick parts need less, thin films and fibers need more and need a low-volatility grade. Check the absorber survives your processing temperature.
For outdoor use the standard approach is UV absorber plus HALS. Send your current package and pigment system and we suggest a starting combination for the trial.
Some benzotriazoles are restricted in the EU and other markets. Tell us the destination and end use, and we confirm the REACH and food-contact position of the grade before you order.
Start with your material, part thickness, quantité et destination. Add your current UV package and we will quote against it.

Polymeric HALS for PP and PE film, tape and fiber with low volatility.
View product →UV-327 is a REACH SVHC and subject to authorisation, so EU use is heavily restricted. Tell us your market and we confirm the position and suggest an alternative if needed.
UV-326 is the closest in performance in polyolefins; 329 et 234 are alternatives depending on polymer and temperature. A weathering re-test is needed.
0.1–0.5% with a HALS for outdoor use.
Oui. Tell us the polymer, the test you plan to run and the quantity you need. Samples ship with a COA so you can compare the lot against your current material.
Send us the agreed specification and the COA showing the difference (parameter, unit and test method). We check it with the production batch record before you accept the material, and replace or re-test where the lot is out of specification.
Send your application, specification and quantity to request a quotation or supporting documents.
