N-Methylaniline is a secondary aromatic amine. It is an intermediate for pesticides, for dyes and dye intermediates, and for rubber processing chemicals, and it is used in organic synthesis as an intermediate, an acid absorber and a solvent.
The main impurities to check are aniline and N,N-diméthylaniline, which come from the same methylation step.
