Présentation du produit

Antioxydant 1010 traps the free radicals that drive thermal oxidation, so plastics keep their strength and appearance through years of service at elevated temperature. Its molecular weight of 1177.6 keeps it in the polymer: it does not evaporate during processing and resists extraction by water and solvents. For processing stability it is normally blended with a phosphite such as 168, and with a thioester (DLTDP / DSTDP) where long-term heat aging is critical.

Typical specification. Every shipment is supplied with a batch COA; the limits that apply to your order are confirmed in the quotation and contract.

Key Benefits

Long-term heat protection

Keeps tensile and impact properties through long service at elevated temperature, the main reason 1010 is the default phenolic in polyolefins.

Stays in the part

High molecular weight means low volatility in processing and low migration or extraction in use.

Broad compatibility

Used in PE, PP, POM, abdos, PS, PVC, Pennsylvanie, ANIMAUX, PU, caoutchouc, hot-melt adhesives and lubricants. Odorless and non-staining.

Antioxydant 1010 Guide de l'acheteur

Name the failure you want to prevent

Yellowing or melt-flow change during processing points to the phosphite share; embrittlement or cracking after months in service points to the phenolic and thioester share. Note recycled content and the number of extrusion passes.

Start from a proven blend

Most polyolefin packages start from a phenolic primary plus a phosphite secondary, then adjust. Send your current package and we suggest a starting blend for the trial instead of changing several variables at once.

Compare the numbers that matter

For powders: essai, melting range, volatiles and light transmittance at 425/500 nm (a direct read on color). Ask for the same parameters on our COA that appear on your incoming-inspection sheet.

Lock in supply terms

Agree packaging, monthly volume, destination port and required documents up front. A matching CAS number alone does not qualify a new source; run your trial and keep the approved lot COA as the reference.

Antioxydant 1010 FAQ

Antioxydant 1010 ou 1076: which should I use?

Both are hindered phenolic primaries. 1010 (MW 1177.6) has lower volatility and extraction, so it is preferred for long service life and high-temperature use. 1076 (MW 530.9, melts at 50–55 °C) disperses more easily in film and low-temperature compounding.

What dosage of 1010 is typical?

0.05–0.3% in most polyolefins, higher for parts that must pass long heat-aging tests. Use it with 168 for processing stability. Confirm the level in your own heat-aging trial.

Is 1010 suitable for food-contact plastics?

1010 is widely used in food-contact polymers. Ask us for the grade-specific food-contact statement for your market before you start trials.

Can I get a sample before ordering?

Oui. Tell us the polymer, the test you plan to run and the quantity you need. Samples ship with a COA so you can compare the lot against your current material.

What if a COA does not match our agreed specification?

Send us the agreed specification and the COA showing the difference (parameter, unit and test method). We check it with the production batch record before you accept the material, and replace or re-test where the lot is out of specification.
