Nylon color and heat stabilizer
Added during polyamide polymerization to limit discoloration and improve heat stability.
Phenylphosphinic acid (benzenephosphinic acid) is a phosphorus intermediate and a color and heat stabilizer for polyamide, used in nylon polymerization, phosphorus flame-retardant chemistry and dye, pesticide and pharmaceutical synthesis. SUNCHEM supplies it with a batch COA on every shipment.
Phenylphosphinic acid has a reactive P–H bond and an acidic P–OH group on a phenyl ring, which makes it both a mild reducing agent and a useful phosphorus building block. In polyamide production it is added during polymerization as a catalyst and stabilizer that helps nylon keep its color and heat stability. It is also an intermediate for phosphorus-based flame retardants and for dye, pesticide and pharmaceutical synthesis.
Assay, moisture and related phosphorus acids are the parameters most buyers compare.

| Your requirement | What usually works |
|---|---|
| Polyamide color stabilization | Phenylphosphinic acid at the dosage of your current recipe |
| Flame-retardant synthesis | Specify assay and related phosphorus-acid limits |
| Replacing an existing supplier | Send your current TDS or COA; we quote against the parameters you approve |
Pack size is confirmed with the quotation.
Keep containers closed in a cool, dry place away from oxidizers and bases. It is acidic and irritating — follow the SDS.
Polyamide, flame retardant or synthesis: tell us which one and the product you make.
Assay, moisture and related phosphorus acids. Ask for them on the same COA template as your incoming inspection.
For nylon, compare color and viscosity of a trial batch against your current stabilizer.
Run a sample in your own process and keep the approved lot COA as the reference for contract limits.
Tell us how you use phenylphosphinic acid, the quantity and the destination port. Add your current specification and we will quote against it.
