Introduction:

Carbendazim 98%TC is a common fungicide used in a wide range of agricultural applications.

It is a light gray or beige powder. Carbendazim in pure form is a white crystalline solid. It has a bactericidal effect by affecting cell division.

It is chemically stable. It is odorless, insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents. It is toxic. Although the toxicity is low, it can cause nausea and vomiting, coma, etc.

It is industrially prepared by the calcium cyanamide method. In detail, methanol and calcium cyanamide are used as raw materials to synthesize methyl cyanamide-based formate, which is then condensed with o-phenylenediamine to produce Carbendazim.

Applications:
