Cyclohexasiloxane

Cyclohexasiloxane is a non-crystalline, colorless liquid with a sweet faint odor. It evaporates completely at room temperature. Cyclohexasiloxane has high stability and excellent oxidative resistance.

The production process involves the preparation of cyclic silicones by reacting hexamethyldisiloxane with 1,3-cyclohexanedione to form cyclohexasiloxane.
