HC RED 3

HC RED 3 is a mixture of three organic compounds - hydroxyl-2-propenal, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, and toluene. It is used as an intermediate chemical in the production of dyes like Solvent Blue 36.

The process by which it is produced involves the oxidation of p-cresol to its corresponding acid, followed by oxidation reactions to produce hydroxyhydroquinone (おお) and 4-chlorohydroxybenzaldehyde (CHB).

It is soluble in water, very soluble in alcohol, and only slightly soluble in chloroform. It was developed using the technology of the well established Inga Inhibitor RED. It is a high quality, low VOC, water-soluble product. RED3 is the only chemically synthesized, ready to use, all-purpose Reducing Agent for coating applications.

HC Red 3 is a very common pigment in the industry of paints, inks and dyes. This pigment is a non-toxic, water-soluble, and highly stable azo dye. It is a red dye used in biological research and as a stain for cell-membrane stains.

It has a particular application in the paint and coatings industries. The pigment is used as a dye for polymers and high-performance adhesives, a pigment for plastics, 論文, インク, テキスタイル, cosmetics and toiletries, and as a colour for ceramic glazes. It is also an organic dye that absorbs light in the infrared region.

It can use it in various coating applications to reduce application costs and improve coating performance. RED 3 is a very versatile product. It can use it in solvent or waterborne coating systems. It can use it to reduce the level of azo, peroxide and other reducible pigments and the level of polymers such as polyurethane or polyacrylate.
